Question / Help Please help

Hi, my computer is a very good computer and was doing stuff fine on obs but now it isnt,
i looked up a bunch of best obs settings videos and followed all the steps but the problem keeps going,
my videos bitrate just looks really bad no matter what i do

encoding:
nvenc
cbr not checked
bitrate 3500
1080p60fps
use cfr checked

computer:
i5 6500
gtx 1070
1tb hd
16gb ram

please help
(ps i also use elgato)

By "videos bitrate just looks really bad", you probably mean the quality is bad?

The bitrate is most likely too low for full hd at 60 frames per second. You should try 20000 for instance and use the high quality option for the encoder.

Hey, I also have an i5, use elGato, and recently saw performance go to crap.
If you go into Task Manager (CTRL+SHIFT+ESCAPE) and go to "Performance," what does it show under "Speed" next to "Utilization" under the graph? If it's really low, your computer may be in power-saving mode more often than it should.
What helped for me was turning off "Intel Adaptive Thermal Monitoring" and "C-state power saving" in my BIOS menu. I don't know what motherboard you have so I don't know how to guide you to do the same, but check in your BIOS menu and see if those options are there. I think recent windows update broke those features and keep the computer constantly in low power mode.

i mean the video looks kinda grainy, this is an example...

the video still loks grainy after i changed the bitrate, and i cant even show you because the website cant let me upload a photo of it! what now?
