Hey OBS community,I have a problem and I have been trying to sort it out with hundreds of different settings and I can't seem to get better FPS.First of all,let my write my PC config below :

CPU : Intel C2Q Q6600 @ 3.3 GHz
GPU : Nvidia GTX 280 OC
RAM : OCZ DDR2 @ 1000 Mhz
PSU (not that it matters) : Corsair TX650W

I know my pc cant match todays i5s or i7s,but I am trying to stream at 480p with 30 fps,but I cant, best I get is 25,26 FPS,while ingame I have over 80 FPS.If I increase stream resolution to 960x540,it varies between 21 and 24.I will post screenshot below that shows the stream FPS and my game FPS (marked with red rectangles)

I don't know to to upload that log file from OBS so I will just show screenshots of each page from settings. Is there any hope for me ? I can't believe that overclocked Q6600 can't even stream 540p.

Would you guys say that is watchable ? Those are the best settings I could get and best fps (26).

Yikes, that CPU is 7 years old.

Try changing the x264 preset to superfast or ultrafast, and maybe downscale to 360p. That CPU is really really holding you back. That GPU is also really slow and not doing you any favors at all.

You could also lower your target FPS to 25.

If 360p with ultrafast doesn't work, then I'm going to go ahead and say you're not really going to be able to record/stream with OBS on that computer.

I tried putting it on 360 before, and I get 38 fps,1 fps up or down, and like I said,on 480 it drops down to 25,26.When I bump it to 540p,it goes to 20 fps,but its looks so much better. That is why I was wondering if I could push the 540p to 24,25 fps so its watchable. If not,I'll just keep it at 480p,nothing much I can do about it but try to provide quality content over quality of video :D.
