Hi All,

First post here as I need some advice.

I have used OBS to stream Elite: Dangerous for hours with no problems at all.

However, I also play Civilization 5 and for some reason I cannot get the game to stream without either the game crashing or the PC crashing.

I can run and host Civ 5 games perfectly fine for hours and hours with no problems, it only happens when I stream the game with OBS.

Sometimes it will crash within a few minutes sometimes are an hour or so.

I have read and read anything and everything that may help and yet it still does it.

I have also spoken with another very popular Civ 5 streamer and he says my spec far out does his so we couldn't work out what the issue was, I have An FX8350 (8 core) CPU, 8GB Ram, ASUS Sabertooth MB and a GTX 760 graphics card. I am running Windows 7 64bit.

My broadband is fiber with 55MB down and 16mb up speeds.

I have tried running the game in DX9 mode and DX10/11 with no change is results.

I have added the last log file that resulted in a PC freeze up / crash that happened after a couple of hours play.

Any help would be greatly appreciated as playing a game of CIV 5 multiplayer takes quite some time and crashing during it no only screws my game up but other players too.

Thanks in advanced,

try disabling areo i had a issue with cod in the past with aero so it may help

Hi there, yes had that option disabled for quite a while to start with but after reading on the OBS forum and the internet, I enabled it as I wasn't trying to window capture which is what is causes problems with form what I read.

After I enabled it I got like 2 hours before it crashed before it was crashing quicker.
