I recently bought a new PC with a intel quad core i7-4770 which is suppose to be a great chip and for the first week I set it up with a fresh copy of Windows 10 (unactiviated) and had my OBS studio settings locally recording at very fast preset and a CRF value of 15 quality at 1080p resolution and it seemed to be a comfortable fit for my CPU which was at the time running at about 60 percent usage when recording.
I moved home this past weekend and and plugged everything in exactly the same and didn't change any settings but I did recently activate windows but was pretty sure I recorded another HD video since then before I moved. Anyways all of a sudden today at home even having the Elgato on and OBS open without clicking start stream or start recording it's using 34% like wtf? As soon as I click record it shoots up to 80 percent or 90 and maxes out my PC! Please help what could have caused this drastic change just from moving home???
