Question / Help Please help me, I can't get OBS to capture my screen or record.

Can you guys please help me out, I really like using OBS, but for the last two months I haven't been able to capture anything on my screen or record anything. When I go to record I get this message:

I can now record but display capture still captures nothing. the drop down menu only shows that option.

have you tried to run OBS as administrator? right click the icon while opening and run as administrator, might help

I ran it as administrator and it still wont cappture

You're on a laptop. To use Display Capture, you'll have to set OBS to run on the integrated GPU. Starting with Windows 10 1903 and onward, the method for doing that selection has changed.

Do be aware that this will DISABLE Game and Window capture, and that Display Capture should only ever be used as an absolute last resort.
