Playback stops using AV1 encoder

well so I recently wanted to stream at the best quality my rig is capable of, but on viewers end the videos sometimes stops/lags/freezes for a second eventually leading to a no live view, my computer/OBS shows no bad symptoms

Rig: Win11, 13600KF, 4080, 32GB DDR5, ISP 50mbps upload speed

OBS settings:

• Audio codec: AAC 48khz
• Video codec: NVENC AV1, CBR 20,000kbps, Preset: P7, Tunning: HQ, Multipass mode: quarter
• Resolution: 4k both base and output

any advise is appreciated

Change your recording output settings to:
Rate control: CQP, CQP level 16, Preset p1

even im not recording? do I need to change that?

If you're streaming you keep the CBR rate control and the bitrate, but you should drop the preset down to p5 or lower.
