Play Video from list

we are having a video/music bingo.

I have a list of video's 1 till 40, and now I want to play a video selected by the bingo...so say we've got ball number 10.
Now I want to start video 10..is it possible to start that video by clicking on it, for example in a VLC list, or in an OBS list...or do I need to make 40 scenes with all of my seperate video files?
As a work around I was thinking of adding all 40 videos in 1 scene, and then hide all...when number 10 comes, I unhide the video and use a shortcut to start it.

Any other suggestions?

1. Install and configure NDI for OBS
2. Install VLC plugin from NDI tools
3. Set NDI as VLC audio/video output
4. Add NDI input source in OBS scene and select the VLC output stream as source
5. Control the playlist from VLC
