Play Folder resource removed without notification – clarification requested

Hi,

I noticed that my OBS Play Folder resource is no longer available on the OBS Resources.

I checked my forum alerts, private conversations and email, but I could not find any notification explaining why the resource was removed.

I completely understand that resources must comply with the forum rules, and I am happy to make any necessary changes. I would simply like to understand the reason for the removal before taking any further action.

Could a moderator please clarify why the resource was removed and whether there is anything I need to change before submitting it again?

If the removal is related to the current policy concerning AI-assisted development, I would also appreciate clarification about what would be required for the resource to comply.

I am asking before attempting to repost it because I do not want to inadvertently violate any forum policy.

Thank you for your help,
Pokoto

Hello.

My resources were removed too: Ultimate Frame and Browser ReSize. I didn't receive any email, notification or explanation.

I would appreciate some feedback on posting plugins: why they were removed and what I should change to post them again.

Best regards, Dmitry

That's probably because they're flooded with submissions. Following the recent incidents, they're also reviewing every update to every resource. With the release of OBS Studio 33, many plugin developers have had to update their plugins, resulting in a huge number of additional submissions requiring moderation.

It would be a hell of a job to send personalized notifications to every user, especially when the rules are already clearly stated. I suspect many of the removed resources failed to disclose AI usage, although that's just an assumption.

The team has made it clear that they are strongly against AI-generated resources, so while you're free to complain about their decisions, you still have to follow their rules if you want your resources to be accepted.

In fact, my script was developed with the help of AI. I have to admit that I wasn't aware of these restrictions at the time.

However, the resource had already been available on the forum for quite some time and had been downloaded more than a thousand times.

What I would mainly like to understand is whether AI-assisted development was actually the reason for its removal. If that is the case, that's absolutely fine, but knowing the specific reason would help me understand the situation and avoid submitting it again incorrectly.

If necessary, I can simply make the script available through other channels instead.

So they're old-school purists, then. Do I have to retype the code by hand, or wait until someone can build my worthwhile idea without AI? By the way, people here have been asking about browser resizing since 2023 and nobody could do it properly. Oh well. I made it for myself anyway)) It's kind of a shame. =)

Well, their platform, their rules. All my plugins were originally developed without using AI, but after a while, I started using AI to help keep up with updates. I added an AI disclosure to every resource I published, and everything was fine.

They're generally against AI-generated content, but they also understand when a resource is genuinely useful. All you have to do is read the rules and disclose your use of AI.

The problem is that many people creating resources with AI are simply farming donations, thinking that open-source developers make a fortune. Well, you can watch the clip below to get a better understanding of the reality, especially these days.
