Pip mode on AOC monitor

Hello, i am currently trying to digitalize a a compact VHS recording trough a JVC camcorder, i have succesfully hooked it up to my secondary monitor that has AV inputs, an AOC m19w531, and conected it to my laptop, but when i try to view it in obs, it only shows the pc desktop, even if the AV is in PIP (picture-in-picure) mode, that shows it windowed. Is there a way to make obs "see" the pip or AV mode of my monitor? Thanks!

You need to capture the VHS video with your computer, not the monitor. You will need a capture card (PCI or USB) with composite and/or Svideo inputs.
