PIP from Single Camera Source

I have seen a Picture in Picture display from a single camera using an IOS platform. When I try to replicate this from Win10, only 1 image is active with the second one being frozen. I have tried reducing the resolution and framerates, to no avail. Is there a solution in Win10? The intended application is to show a closeup of what is displayed in the main screen. i.e. a guitar fretting hand closeup.

You can just create a second copy of the main source (use "Add Existing") then scale it up, and hold ALT to crop the sides down to only the part you want zoomed-in. Then scale it up and position it on top as you like.

Thanks for this. When using the Crop filter, it applies to both images. Possible use of the ALT method produces a different result. I shall try that as well.

Filters are applied destructively to every instance of the source. Alt-cropping is a Transform effect (like sizing and positioning) so will be per-instance and per-scene. Good luck!

PS- if you need to apply a Filter to a Source, you can add it to a Group (even on its own) and then apply the Filter to the Group without affecting the original Source. Likewise, you can put a Source into a Scene on its own, apply the Filter to the Scene, then add the Scene as a Source to a different Scene.
