Question / Help Pink and Green discoloration in preview

I have a 2 PC streaming set up, where one PC is dedicated to gaming while the other PC is going to capture the game and stream it on Twitch.tv. I have an HDMI cable running from the GTX 760 of my gaming PC to the input port of the AverMedia LGHD card on my streaming PC. In my nVidia control panel, I have it set so the image on my main gaming monitor is cloned from the GTX 760 to both my central gaming PC monitor as well as the capture card on my streaming PC. Unfortunately, as the title suggests, I am getting a funky pink and green discoloration when i preview the stream. Here are some pictures to illustrate.

I have been searching this forum for the past 2 days trying to find someone with a similar problem to no avail. Either I have failed to enter the correct keywords in the search function, or this is a unique problem. Thanks to all whom took the time to read this post, and thanks in advance to anyone willing to post positive input to help me in this matter.

How odd, looks like some sort of colorspace conversion failure. Check the colorspace settings for the device, if you're able. I'm not entirely sure where that is, but look for some something like "range" as well, if you can find it anywhere.

Thank you for responding to my post Jim. I looked through all the options and the only one I could find matching your description was a setting called Color Range located in the video adjustment. There are only 2 options available, Standard (16-235) and Expanded (0-255). I tried both settings and get the same result.

Definitely don't know what's going on here unfortunately.

This almost looks like a bad cable or damaged pin / connector. Do you have another one to test with?

I have swapped out the HDMI cable with 2 known good ones and still have the same problem. I have even tried putting my capture card in a different PCI slot and nothing changed. I am starting to think my capture card is to blame. I have an open support ticket with AverMedia and am currently going through the motions.

On another note I would like to thank all the mods/devs on this site. I think I speak for everyone (even the ungrateful) when I say you guys are doing an amazing job, and you guys are the main reason this software and support are #1. Keep up the good work. When this problem is over, whether it gets resolved or not, I am definitely donating to this project.

Well, though that being said, I still unfortunately don't know what exactly is going on, because I've just never seen anything like that before. Is that a C985? I have one myself, I built the video capture code around that particular device originally, and I've never seen that sort of thing happen. I'm really totally confused here. Even the other avermedias have never experienced such a problem.

I'm just really baffled, I'm really sorry if I can't be of much help at this point.

No need to apologize Jim. I worked as an automobile technician at a Volkswagen dealership in midtown Manhattan for many years. One thing I learned is that, when it comes to state of the art technology, strange things sometimes happen. I have a strong feeling that the OBS software is working properly and the problem resides with the capture card, be it a software or hardware issue. Yes I am using the C985 AverMedia LGHD. The version of the software is V1.3.0.46 (Build 13060501) and the driver is V3.3.64.42 (Firmware V22), in case you were wondering.

Once again, don't feel bad Jim. I am grateful for the time you have spent reading/responding to my posts. That goes for you as well R1CH. Keep up the good work guys.
