Hello, first off id like to say im very grateful to have a program as awesome as OBS as freeware. I seem to have hit a problem however. Sometimes, when i record a video all goes well. But then about 1/4 to about 1/2 the time, once i hit the end record button, and go to check out the file it seems to be corrupt. My video player wont accept it, neither will my editing system.
For the files that work, I have no problem using my video player/editing software to play around with them. When the files do get messed up, they don't have an icon displaying a frame from the video like the working files do. Ive taken may screen shots to help show my problem in better detail.
The orange files are the ones that appear to be corrupted, while the rest with the icon image work flawless.
This one shows what my video player tells me when i try to play a corrupt file.
This image is just a example of a working file being played with my video player.
These are the "scene" settings i use to capture.
These are the general encoding settings i use to capture.
If anyone knows what exactly is wrong here, or more important how i can save my video files (the comeback one was an amazing game id REALLY like to get it working and uploaded to youtube, please shed some light. I have no idea how to fix this, what im doing wrong, and what can be done to salvage my video files. Extra note that wasn't in the pictures, the unworking videos have the correct file size, i know the video is there i just dont know whats making it not work.
Thank you to anyone who can help, or even took the time to read this. I appreciate it.
