Question / Help Performance loss when just opening OBS

I have been trying to figure out what's causing it and today i did some testing with Cinebench R15, and thought the results were kinda interesting.

First i did my baseline score without having any programs running at all except for cinebench:
http://prntscr.com/ihfq1r Score of 1676 with my Ryzen 1700 @ 3.8 ghz

Then only program that i open is OBS and i tested with and without preview being on
With preview being on my score was 1590 (http://prntscr.com/ihfr5q)
And without it being on 1599 (http://prntscr.com/ihfrfu)

All the testing was done without streaming/recording on OBS, and OBS only using around 1,7 - 2,0% of my CPU (http://prntscr.com/ihfrvg)

Personally i don't think this type of performance loss is normal, but maybe someone wiser can explain me if it is. Also would appreciate any suggestions how to improve the situation

If you pull up Task Manager and watch the CPU fluctuate when OBS is loaded but not streaming or running you will see OBS CPU Usage of around 2% and GPU usage of around 8% (at least on my system). When preview is turned on and not streaming or recording, CPU sits at 2% but GPU rises to nearly 10%. And, of course as you record or stream, these usage levels fluctuate.

OBS is priming its own pump, while in idle state. A car runs more smoothly when already started than putting in the key and starting it up. Everything syncs better.

Cinebench 15 and OBS Test Takeaways
======================================
- The differences in OBS not running and OBS running with Preview disabled was less than 1% for Cinebench 15 returned results.
- There is a slight loss in FPS when using a 1440p 144Hz Gsync monitor and 1080p 60Hz
- When OBS is running, there is a hit on Cinebench CPU results of roughly 4%

Notes:
- I could have set my 144Hz to 1080p Gsync, but didnt want to screw up my system configuration for this test.
- Returned values for OpenGL fps 1-2% difference in multiple runs
- Returned values for CPU cb were less than 1% difference in multiple runs

Test Scenarios #1 and #2: OBS not running
===========================
Cinebench running on 1440p 144Hz monitor
OpenGL 84.93 fps
CPU 1509 cb

Cinebench running on 1080p 60Hz monitor
OpenGL 83.15 fps
CPU 1512 cb

Test Scenarios #3 and #4: OBS Running 144Hz, Idle state, Preview Disabled
===================================================================
Cinebench running on 1440p 144Hz
OpenGL 81.73 fps
CPU 1450 cb

Cinebench running on 1080p 60Hz
OpenGL 81.58 fps
CPU 1445 cb

Test Scenarios #5 and #6: OBS Running 60Hz, Idle state, Preview Disabled
===================================================================
Cinebench running on 1440p 144Hz
OpenGL 84.19 fps
CPU 1457

Cinebench running on 1080p 60Hz
OpenGL 83.24 fps
CPU 1459 cb
