Before i installed Windows 10 i get stable 60 FPS while recording CS:GO, now i geting drop from 107 to 30-40 FPS! What the hell?! It's OBS or its Windows 10 bug?

Same with AMD VCE/Normal/MP Build. MP Build is a LITTLE better, but still substantial fps drop to the point it impacts my gameplay. AMD VCE feels like it's not even doing what it was built to do, as it produces the exact same results as the normal build. I used to have to use the VCE build to stream League, as the others would impact cause substantial frame skips in game.

I don't think it is the encoders, because this is happening with x264, Quicksync and AMD VCE. OBS and OBS-MP on Windows 10 are causing huge FPS drops in certain games for me as well. Some games seem unaffected by it.

So far I am seeing a 30+ fps drop in Heroes of the Storm
Around 30 drop in Planetside 2
CS:GO seems unaffected

I'm not even doing anything serious, 3000 Kbps 640p60 on a 4790K. I don't even need to be recording in OBS-MP to lose fps, just having it open drops it

happening to me 2.

It's been reported by dozens of people.
I really dunno if it has anything related to obs itself.

Probably its on win10 end

Because there isn't really any concrete information available pointing to a cause.

we have a lot less fps recording ,there must be some cause to that.btw you could checkout xbox game dvr on windows 10 and you could take some inspiration from there because I have o fps drop when using it

Yes. There is really nothing to post about that besides notifying and we did it. I understand OBS staff side.

xbox game was never activated on my Win10. But i made sure to verify if it was disabled.

General Note to OBS Staff. I'm no expert in OBS or WIN source code but It seems that OBS and Win10 system scheduler is not doing so well.

be it by how win10 manage resources.
be it that win10 archticture is different on how hooks works and new code on OBS side are required to match full performance
be it win10 putting some barriers to force usage of new dx12 or etc etc (i might be going way too far with this)

Just my 2 cents

That's the problem, the logs from people with this problem never show anything that explains it.

That's not really an option, OBS ist just a relatively small open source project, with only 1 person working on it fulltime.
