I am a new streamer on twitch and would like to have the perfect settings for when I stream. My specs are a i5-8400 cpu and 1070ti gpu. What settings do I want to be get the best performance.

All depends on what you are playing, your're internet speeds *upstream mostly, you can use NVENC or X264, because you are i5 and playing something same time I assume, you will probably not want to use x264, it's higher quality a smidge, but a big hit in resources, wheras NVENC is built into the GPU and will greatly reduce usage of resources and will make streaming a lot easier on your PC. with NVENC you could do 1080P/60FPS no problem, but again depends on what you are streaming etc. If streaming to twitch the max CBR is 6000, 720P/60FPS looks pretty good under NVENC at 6000, give it a try, Keyframe interval needs to be 2 for Twitch. But without knowing if your connection is good or not, I can't say how well it will go.

You'll want to use NVENC then for those games as your CPU will be too bogged down to do x264. Use the settings I suggested above to configure your NVENC encoder. If you need more personal assistance, hit me up on twitter @spikeypup and I will get back to you to setup a time on Discord. :)
