Hello,
No...This isn't a typical "HEY I NEED HELP STREAMING FPS LOSS LOL" thread. I've read through many of those in trying to find an answer to this.
Whenever I start streaming, I get an (expected) FPS drop. However, the game itself runs choppier than what it self-reports its FPS as.
For example, DayZ runs noticeably worse even though Afterburner reports its FPS as approx 60 FPS. Same with Team Fortress 2. When I begin streaming, it falls about 20 FPS in-game, but I'm still getting 150+ FPS in that game. Though the game reports as 150+ fps, it runs as though it's playing around 40-50 FPS.
I'm betting I've misconfigured something in OBS but I don't know what it could be. I know OBS is taxing on a computer, but I feel like this isn't necessarily a poor performance problem. CPU usage does jump a bit when I begin streaming, but it isn't ever 100%, so I don't think I'm hitting a glass ceiling anywhere.
Any ideas?
