Pause recording

I'm new to OBS Studio so forgive me if this is obvious to you guys; How do I pause a recording? I wrote a short story and I am reading it in a video but there are 8 chapters and I want to take a break every now and then. So far, I get a separate video for each "part" so to speak and I would like for it top be continuous...

Hello!

I'm a long time OBS user, used this feature in the past no problem. However, today I launched it, OBS requested an update, updated.

And now the button for pause is gone! There are still keybinds in the hotkeys, but they don't work! My videos are not pausing. Either this is now broken, or I'm doing something wrong. However, I'm positive it's not me, since I haven't changed my settings, and it was working in the past, and now it seems gone!

Screenshots below.

First: my keybinds. "OBS_KEY_VK_CANCEL" is OBS' way of saying "Pause Break". I don't know why it does that, but in the past it was working!

Second: Controls panel of the main window. Little "Pause" icon now gone!

You can clearly see that when record is ON, there's no Pause icon. Nor there working keybinds. It's not working neither from the hardware keyboard, nor from On-Screen one, as demonstrated in the video.

I've also tried to bind another key, just to be sure - nope, the effect is the same. But as I already said, Starting and Stopping work as they should, it's the Pause that's gone.
 
I was able to duplicate this only when (Use stream encoder) was selected as the Video Encoder in the Recording settings.
