Question / Help Panasonic HC-X1000 Camera

I cannot get my new Panasonic HC-X1000 camera to come up in OBS. I am using a Black Magic thunderbolt and HDMI wire. Any ideas for me?

It will show up as the blackmagic device not as the panasonic

You might need to use OBS Studio, not OBS Classic, for Black Magic devices.

Thanks - I have a blackmagic set up on another laptop with the same software using a Sony camera and it works fine. For some reason the panasonic wont show. I have it set up under the black Magic with a HDMI wire. Nothing. It is reading the sound but not the picture.

I would check the camera settings then, like framerate and resolution and interlacing.

I just plugged it directly into a TV HDMI port and it worked fine. So its something between the black magic and the camera. And panasonic was nasty and useless just now on the phone.

I'd call Black Magic. You're using OBS Studio, right?

OBS what? There's two versions, OBS Classic and OBS Studio. Black Magic devices are known to not work well with OBS Classic. And you're posting in the OBS Classic forum.
