Panasonic DMC-FZ1000 + OBS

Hi

Before I go out and buy a new camera, does anyone know if this camera should work with OBS please? I have tried and failed setting it up, I receive a rainbow signal in OBS. I am using said camera, a laptop, a HDMI to mini HDMI, and video capture card. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I am ok with audio side of it.

If you see rainbow stripes (test picture?) while the cam delivers normal video feed, then its up to the capture card. Maybe its sending a test signal. You should have a look to its driver or into the video source properties in OBS if anything can be set regarding this. Often its something like a test mode.

You may check the panasonics hdmi out on a different sink, like a tv or screen with hdmi in.
