Apologies for popping in with a first post question, but we're pretty desperate!
We streamed an event through OBS last week, unfortunately due to poor internet connectivity the stream failed half way through event, however we did record the footage through OBS.
The plan was to re-upload the footage at a later date. However the laptop was used for another event in the meantime, and in the advances settings the 'Overwrite if File Exists' box was ticked under Recording, and no naming format input as per below:
So, it appears our 4 hours of footage which we desperately need is gone! Overwritten by the latest recording.
It feels like a lost cause, but I'm hoping there's some sort of solution, the way I'm thinking is the file itself must be deleted before a new file is created, so like with everything on a HDD there must be some sort of recovery... :(
