Overwrites Default Videodevice

Hi folks,
i'm using Iriun for my phone being a webcam device, because my laptop hasnt one. This is just functioning well, and I can use it as it is, in my coming meetings. But I wanted to put some extra info to my presentations. So I installed OBS from my repo. To get the phonecam signal via Wifi, I need to run the desktop as a server which means, I need to run Iriun and OBS together.

When I turn on the Virtual Cam Mode, I see green flickering lines overlayed by the phone-cam output in the multiview and everywhere. As I set source and destination to the same resulution and settings, I can imagine, that theres any driverbased issues with that. Does anyone have had expieriences with that?

I just would need to priorize the output from OBS somehow, because Iriun gives a default cam to my machine, which get overritten somehow from OBS.

The goal is, to use the OBS program out as the main webcam-source for my machine. And I have NO idea, to get there.

Here are two pictures of both, with virtual cam active, and turned off vc.

OBS uses the first v4l2loopback device. If that happens to be the same as iridium's you have a conflict. If iridium has no option to configure that, i think there is little you can do.

Hello, thanks for your answer, I tried to add 2 v4l2loopback-devices to my machine, but programs will use the video0 instead, both. I cannot say, you guys use this, you that. And I found out, that OBS has no program-view ouptut from virtual camera either, even if the Iriun Input is not there. Any ideas?

See, there is no warning, and nothing happens in the logfile, so I wasnt posting any of these info.

Cheers

Ok, after a bit deeper diving in this, Im able to manage my v4l2-ctl settings now, and modprobe new devices, step by step learning linux and cli. But I can never change any hardcoded settings, either from the newer versions of OBS, nor the iriunwebcam. Both programs outputs their video to the same card (same v42lloopback device). And I couldn't find any options to choose between v4l2-input or -output. So, I need another way, to integrate v4l2-inputs to OBS on my debian machine.

Does anybody know such software, that let me change things like I/O generally, flexibly? :)
