Overlay for next OBS release

I was just wondering for the next release could we get an in-game overlay with useful information ..example: recording, not recording, recording setting (@ 30/60FPS) file size time laps, so on and so on anything that we can see right in-game that would help us monitor stream/recording

There are other things that are higher priority: fixing bugs, working towards feature parity with OBS Classic, and other things. This post by Jim explains development priorities fairly well.

Soooo..... any way we could see this happen ?? it would really help tremendously. I used to use two monitors but base on my living situation I am no longer able to use two, but one. So the overlay would be great DxTory have this and its very useful I would really like to use OBS again because I just like it so much ...any feed back from developers would be appreciated. I hope to hear something back looking forward to it .
