Question / Help output resolution

hey guys ive been trying to stream lately and im having problems with my resolutions on stream. My monitor's resolution is 1280 x 1024, but i'm trying to stream it widescreen, is there any way i can change it? the options OBS has downscale options of non widescreen resolutions. so is there any way to stream widescreen even though my monitor is not widescreen?

Hit edit scene and hold either ctl or shift (can't remember which) to break aspect ratio, but I have no idea why you would want to do this as it will distort your image.

Alternatively, played your games in windowed mode at a 16:9 resolution.
