Bug Report Output area does not being updated on secondary display

Hello, I'm having a problem - OBS preview/output area is not being updated while it's on secondary display, on my primary display it works ok but as soon as I move window to another monitor it just stops updating.

Software version: 0.47a
System: Windows 7 64Bit

is your second display connected to a different adapter? that could be why. if not, then not sure, that would be quite strange.

Yea, it connected to different adapter. I guess there is no way for it to work this way?

nope, unfortunately there is not. sometimes it can be done with certain cards configurations, but it usually causes some serious system lag because it has to copy the frames from one card to the other through RAM, super slow, can cause some system lag. and you can't really make OBS use the other adapter because if you do, then it can't access the texture data for your games/windows/etc.

It's worth noting that pretty much every graphics card made in the last decade has more then one monitor connector on it. Consider checking your existing card you use for gaming and see if you can plug your second monitor into it. My card has five outputs on it for instance. DVI can easily be converted to HDMI and DP with adapters for like $10. Monoprice has a bunch of them.

Well, thanks for the answers. I'll probably just swap monitor cables with monitor connected to same card as primary to get it to work.
