out put is 16:9 but out put is 4:3

Hi I am new to OBS looks a marvelous piece of work. Thanks!
Try as I might I cannot capture a 16:9 video in anything other than 4:3
I wi;ll keep trying but any pointers gratefully received
 
set your base and output resolution to a 16:9 dimensions (1280x720, 1920x1080, etc). otherwise, this might be a bug(?)
