Option key does not work to crop a scene?

New to all this and using a Macbook Pro. I need to crop a Scene that is an overhead iPhone. What appears easy on a PC using the Alt key is not available on macbook so they suggest using "option" key. Still no luck. Any suggestions? Thank you!

I had the same problem and it was driving me nuts. Just switched to Mac from Windows so not used to the environment.
This is silly...but I just deleted everything having to do with OBS from my Mac, restarted, reinstalled...and it works now.
