Question / Help Optimal audio encoding bitrate ?

Hey there once again,

I had a question about the AAC audio encoding. I heard 96k AAC is as good (better?) as 128k MP3.
My question is : how low bitrate can I possibly go w/ AAC still having good audio quality ? And by good I mean before ppl start to notice the audio is too compressed.

Well from what i've read/heard, for example 192Kbps AAC is equal to 256/320Kbps MP3 (can't remember which one. 256 or 320). But anyway 96 or 112kbps AAC will be good enough for streaming
