Question / Help OpenCL and Quick Sync

hello there,

I've been looking around on the forum about Quick Sync but havent really found anything clear about this, guess im just to retarded whatever, I'd like to know what Quick Sync actually does if it improves anything with streaming or not.

Since there are a bunch of updates in the 0.541b version about OpenCL im wondering if the custom encode settings "opencl=true" is still needed or not.

As far as OpenCL goes -- Enabling it still is a custom command parameter, yes. And it will most likely always remain a custom parameter. It is something done by x264, which is not in development by the OBS crew and consequently it is safe to assume specific and advanced options passed to x264 will always be done through the command line interface.
