Open OBS with different settings/webcams?

Hello,
Hopefully I am posting this in the correct forum. If not, my apologies.

Is it possible to have two instances of OBS available (not necessarily open simultaneously) with different webcams assigned to each instance? I have two Logitech webcams (C920 & C922). With one instance I want OBS to open with both cameras (C920 & C922). On the other instance, I only want one camera (C922). We use these in our music studio – not always running both cameras. Is it possible to open OBS via command line (or some other routine) calling out which version I wish to run?

Thanks,
Steve K.

I forgot to mention – I did try some of the startup parameters.

I have a couple scenes called ONE and TWO with one or two cameras. I can manually click on these and they work fine. However, when I added the --scene “one” or …”two” OBS opens to the last instance. It does not change to the selected scene (i.e., with either one or two cameras).

Here are my desktop icon’s Target lines:
"C:\Program Files\obs-studio\bin\64bit\obs64.exe" --scene "one"
"C:\Program Files\obs-studio\bin\64bit\obs64.exe" --scene "two"

Thanks again,
Steve

It was a bit of a pain but I think I got it. I now will try to setup each instance as needed. I may need some assistance as I proceed.

I have two folders with all files in them. In an effort to save file space, is there a way to consolidate some of this or must I keep two completely separate folders with all files in each?

Thanks again gcliff. . .

Well, now I have another issue. OBS is only recording in 4:3 aspect ratio no matter what I have the resolution set at (Logitech C922). Base (Canvas) Resolution is set at 1920x1080, Output (scaled) is set at 1280x720 which I believe both are 16:9. This was working fine before I changed to portable. As a test I reinstalled the standard (not portable) but it still is at 4:3. Any ideas?

I wish I could edit my posts. Just to add, my integrated webcam works fine at 16:9. My Logitech works fine with other software (Bandicam) - 16:9. Just having an issue with OBS right now.

I think I figured this out. I had to change the source Resolution type from Default to Custom. The set the resolution to 1280x720. I guess it just takes us old guys a bit longer to catch on.

Thanks,

Sorry I didn't reply earlier. I was away from technology for the weekend, but it sounds like you got things sorted out. Good work.
