Hey Guys!

I would love to upload some past broadcoasts/highlights on youtube but sadly its not possible for me here in Germany because of copyright restrictions! (GEMA)

Well, it would be awesome if it there would be an option a way to configure obs that the copy which is saved local on my pc only saves the mic device!

This would be awesome because then I would be able to upload my stuff on youtube. Is this already possible, did I just missed the option or is there a way where I can configure some cfg file to make this possible?
If there is no way atm please add this as feature request, would be awesome!

Record your voice separately using Audacity when you are streaming, download the VOD and switch out the audio in a video editing program of your choice.

Nope thats not possible so far. With OBS MP this could be real, but ONLY if you send your music to a different soundcard - lets say you use the default sound device for everything and you send music over a second soundcard. Then it would be possible to programm the local recording to avoid the second soundcard capture.

So far i can tell you a couple of things: use non-copyrighted/royalty free music or dont use music at all while recording, you can always add it later while editing the video.

P.S. yes thats possible with Audacity, but this way would kill the game & system sounds and communication, if you cut out the main audio track.

Mhhh when I had this idea it sound pretty easy. What I want is the local recording with Video+MIC device-desktop device and I would be a very happy person :P

I had the same idea DJS but I think you know the effort between my solution and yours. My solution 10 secs - youtube pick file and upload, especially on youtube I guees its even better to have my videos without music.
With your solution I need to save two files, then exclude complete audio from the obs file, match the audio file from audacity ( btw worried about the sync ) and I guess I even need to render it then again. So its a lot of effort.

People really want that I also upload videos on youtube but they like my music much more so playing no music or non copyright shit is no option for me.

Yeah tried this once but it degraded the audio horrible at least for my video but maybee I will give it a try again but overall doing it like this starting youtube stuff with low audio quality dont know if its worth.
