Question / Help Only 1 Encoder option x264

So I've pretty much learned how to stream and record with obs, but for some reason it is always really choppy when recording or streaming. Through some research I came to the conclusion that it was my encoder that was the problem. I play overwatch a lot and heard that its best to use GPU instead of the x264, but the problem is x264 is my only option. I can't choose anything else.

CPU is intel i-3-6100

GPU is EVGA geforce gt 730

your best bet is to use quicksync in your cpu
you need to enable it in bios https://obsproject.com/forum/resources/how-to-use-quicksync.82/
allow it to use max amount of ram in bios
