Question / Help OneNote - text area not captured

Hi,

I'm trying to capture a OneNote window. But it only shows the one note application window and the text area of the application is blank and I have tested on xsplit and the issue is there too.

I am using windows 10 and OBS Window capture option. When I go to windows seven then it is showing properly but on windows 10 it is an issue

Is OneNote from the MIcrosoft app store?

One note comes in two different versions
1) one in windows 10 known as One Note, and
2) Another as a part of Microsoft Office
I am Using one note that comes as a Part of Microsoft Office

I was only able to capture the desktop version of Onenote with display capture. Even disabling its hardware acceleration, which makes other programs captureable, didn't work for me. (it's the same with the app version of Onenote - that one is also only possible to capture with display capture)

Can anybody try 'Game Capture' source? (I'm unable to test it right now)

Not possible to capture with game capture. Neither desktop version nor app version.
By the way, the problem with all non-display capture methods is that menus will not appear in the capture. To be honest, in the end you have to resort to display capture most of the time anyway. The last scenario where menus were captured fine was Windows 7 with Aero turned off.

I'd like a new window capture that is actually a modified desktop capture with an auto-adjusting crop filter - a filter that changes its crop settings on the fly according to the movement or resize of the window to capture, and that will include any menus that reach beyond the window border.

Im trying to screen record one note as well but experiencing the same error as gagan.
Please do suggest steps to rectify this.

@JonathanOBSboi second PC, capture card in it, and display cloning to the connected capture device can solve the problem.
