So, this is a very odd issue to me. At first, I thought it was Dark Souls 1 and its notoriously bad Game Capture history, but trying the workarounds for that didn't work, so I tried adding other games. All produce nothing but a black screen, so it wasn't an isolated issue. I originally thought it was https://obsproject.com/forum/thread...ames-after-latest-win10-update-3140743.44679/ This issue, here. So I waited for the updates, both of which did not fix the issue. Also, the file deletion workaround is fruitless. Another interesting note, is that all the current game captures I had placed in did and still work right now, it's only adding new Game Capture files that produces this black screen. In fact, I can even add Game Captures of the same game and it won't work.
So what is causing this? Log file below. Launched a simple 3D game known as Eldritch, tried to add it in Game Capture, saw the black screen, and (might) have removed it in this file. Can anybody help?
Running Windows 10 64-bit.
EDIT: I can also try adding the rest of the log files I currently have if need be. This problem started initially around the time I updated from OBS Multiplatform to OBS Studio, though correlation may not be causation.
EDIT #2: Played around some more with current game capture sources. If I try to modify them in any way, they fail to capture same as the rest. Specifically, I tried changing one of them to a global source. For a split second, eldritch captured, but the capture froze on the first frame.
EDIT #3: Tried reinstalling the latest stable build of standard OBS for testing, and game capture functions perfectly there. For the meantime, I'll use the older version of OBS as a workaround, but as it'll more than likely be legacy software within the year I'd like to avoid OBS Studio remaining a problem.
