Question / Help Occasional OBS Classic Freeze Upon Ending Recording with Avermedia Live Gamer Extreme

Every once in a while when I stop recording in OBS while using an Avermedia LGX, OBS will freeze, generally requiring a restart of the computer. (Trying to kill obs.exe in Task Manager doesn't seem to work when this happens).

These freezes are really intermittent, and I've yet to discern any patterns between them in when or why they happen.
I've attached what I believe is the log from when the last freeze happened.

Second here... i am using the Avermedia Live Gamer HD (the pci internal card) and the same happens, in my case it is not intermitent, happens all the time I try to use "stream engine" as a source when I finish a recording and no file is saved (in OBS).

It does not depend on wether I save a file in Avermedia Stream engine or not

Try reproducing this issue with OBS Studio, Classic is no longer in active development.

Hi Sapiens, it was in Studio,... maybe you can move the thread, in any case it was with the "Stream Engine", so maybe the problem is with the Stream Engine and its DirectShow implementation.

Do you have any source on the faulty Stream Engine implementation? in SplitX it seems to work.

Its someone else's thread Raul, and they were using OBS Classic. Maybe you can make a new thread for OBS Studio.
