Hi all,
I'm not convinced this is an issue with OBS, but did not have very much help with AVerMedia support, so hoping for some ideas here.
I've been streaming with Open Broadcaster Software for a couple months now and loving it -- using an AVerMedia Live Gamer HD. I only stream PC games, not consoles, which really confused me when I started seeing HDCP blinking on my stream. It is not consistent or reproducible from what I can tell. It doesn't happen very often, maybe even once or a couple times a day or every few hours even, which has made this very frustrating for me to figure out. The black screen with HDCP written in white letters will appear for a few frames and then disappear again.
I initially thought it was a cable issue, so replaced my HDMI cable to no avail. I also reinstalled the capture card (both physically and with a driver/software uninstall and reinstall and firmware update). I made sure all of my software is up to date as well, naturally. I've looked into ways to bypass HDCP issues with consoles, but have been reluctant to buy some of those things if I wasn't sure they would fix my issue.
My capture card is hooked up to my graphics card via HDMI to HDMI, and my monitors via DVI cables directly into my graphics card. If you have any questions please let me know and I'd be happy to provide more information.
Thanks so much.
