OBS

Hey y'all, recently moved to a new apartment - and got the same internet provider, Optimum 1 Gig... have a wifi extender in my room and a wired ethernet cable directly to it.

Ever since the new set up, internet connection has been great - but every 30 seconds or so while streaming to youtube, OBS disconnects... then takes about 15 seconds to reconnect while the KB/s drops to 0...
Really not sure what is causing this to happen.

Log file is attached above... any help is appreciated.

Test without using WiFi. ... Cable directly to router. And try again.
I suspect all will be well, and you are simply running into WiFi interference in an apartment setting (which I'd expect)
This assumes the router isn't Optimum provided, and it is sharing your upload bandwidth (for example, some Cox home cable routers advertise a Cox SSID open to any of their customers. The traffic is segregated, so atrocious from a security perspective (though still not good), BUT it is sharing bandwidth. My point - make sure something unexpected isn't using your upload bandwidth.
On 2.4GHz, there are only 3 non-overlapping channels (north america). period. And typical apartments don't have concrete walls (which have water, resonant frequency of water, hance microwaves conflicting with 2.4GHz WiFi). So, I'm guessing you can see plenty of other access points, right? So the chance of finding a 2.4GHz channel that doesn't have interference... not great.
In the 5GHz range, you have more non-overlapping channels, but something you still may need to make sure your Extender is using a Channel that is open (and even then, other system may change channels on you, somewhat randomly).
And some WiFi extenders are just plain PoS
Note - none of this has anything to do with OBS and is simple/basic network operations considerations and troubleshooting

Thank you for your lengthy reply!
Yeah, so I currently have the router (provided by Optimum) in the Living room... Extender in my room, with a cable from the extender to my PC...
I do have a very large ethernet cable I could try hooking up from the living room all the way to my PC directly - that might definitely be worth a shot!
