Question / Help OBS working improperly out of nowhere

I first got OBS about a week ago and it was working fine for several days. I had the internet and twitch account configured properly in the program.... Now, I think since some updates, I haven't been able to stream by switching from a picture file to the game. I keep on getting a black screen. In fact, I used to be able to start up the game and then go into obs and select the a game and not have to worry if it would preview or stream.... Now, I have to jump back and forth between obs and turn on and off my game to somehow get it to work. Once I finally get it to successfully stream or even preview, I can't switch to desktop mode or a picture file and then switch to the game without a black screen.

You need to post a log file of this if possible.

I'm not going to be able to post a log, because this was a while ago. But is Fullscreen mode just not working anymore? I understand that it's in beta but just frustrating because there really isn't any good alternatives to streaming.

Fullscreen capture hasn't changed in a very long time, you see this is sort of why I need a log file, because if something happened it'd (usually) report it in the log.
