Bug Report OBS won't start, only visible in task manager

So I just installed the new Studio version after enjoying the "classic" a lot. I restarted my pc after successful installation, but now the program doesn't seem to start at all. It's visible in the task manager as running, but never shows up! Please help!

Have the same problem for months. Noticed it first with another similar streaming/recording app. The process is running in the task manager, but nothing in the task bar or on screen. The app is not off-screen. Just saying, because it's the first thing everyone will try to point out. It's not a matter of the window being off-screen or minimized. Is a matter of the program not actually showing at all despite the process being open.
First time it happened to me, it was with plays.tv, another recording app. But in their case, they don't allow 2 instances of the same program to run simultaneously so I would always get the "The program is already running" warning. I would have to enter task manager to end the process and open it again. At the second attempt, it would always open with no problems.
This persists until today.
With OBS, because it allows for 2 instances running simultaneously, I didn't realize until way later. I would try to open it and it would not. I would just assume I failed clicking and try again and it would open. (Again, always at the second attempt, without failing.). Then I remembered about plays.tv and decided to check if that was the case with OBS too. And it was. First attempt was only opening in the task manager. I wouldn't get a warning because OBS allows for 2 instances running. But there is is too. And it is annoying as hell.
This is not sometimes. It's not occasionally. It's not 99% of the times. It's 100% of the times. Really strange:
-1.- Click on OBS icon.
-2.- Windows shows the "thinking circle" for a couple of seconds, and nothing happens.
-3.- Go to task Manager and OBS is running.
-4.- OBS is not accessible anywhere. Not even in the task bar.
-5.- It's not off screen, it's not in the task bar. It's not in the notification area.
-6.- Second attempt to open it, either before or after closing the failed OBS process in the task manager, will work fine every single time.

Windows 10 64bit
Intel Core I7-4790 CPU @ 3,60GHz
16Gb RAM
Nvidia GeForce GTX 750 Ti

So both programs where this occurs are related with streaming and recording video. So I better also add that I don't have them all running at the same time. If I'm using OBS Studio, then plays.tv, Shadowplay and Windows DVR are closed and not running. Same can be said of each of them individually.
Despite that, could this still be some sort of incompatibility among them? In some weird way that completely escapes me?
Any help appreciated. Thanks

I have the exact same problem. In almost 80% of the cases, after I reboot the computer and try starting OBS it will seem like it just didn't start but it's running in the task manager. I have to kill it there and then try starting it again. For a long time just as Vidiks said I wasn't even aware it was running in the background like that, I thought it wasn't starting. My setup:
Windows 10 64 bit (trying to start obs64.exe)
CPU i7-5820k
RAM 48G
Nvidia Geforce GTX780

It's not a game breaker but it's getting annoying having had this for many months now. Attaching obs logs of the hanging and working obs64 processes on my system.

I see that when it's working the next message is about the webcam, maybe OBS hangs on trying to initialize that webcam somehow?

Also this seems same problem:
https://obsproject.com/forum/threads/obs-processes-in-task-manager.58801/

Some of the other people on this thread that are running into this issue Zyperspace/Vidiks, can you guys attach logs of the hanging OBS process? To do that you need to:
1. attempt to start obs64.exe and have it hang. DO NOT KILL IT YET or attempt to start another OBS instance
2. start a Windows Explorer window and type %appdata% in the location bar
3. navigate to "obs-studio" and then "logs" directories in there
4. upload the "latest" (as in having the most recent date/timestamp in the filename) log file from there

Thanks!
