Question / Help OBS won't record with NVENC

So I'm trying to record Pavlov VR gameplay to show my friend but apparently OBS doesn't want me to.
It would pop on the preview window with no problems but as soon as I hit that record button, it gives me an error.
I have a i76700 and a gtx1060 6gb

EDIT: I noticed that it will record if I exit VR

VR usually needs NVENC to run; it sounds like you're over your number of allowed NVENC sessions.

How can I record VR gameplay then? What is the NVENC sessions limit?

It depends on your card.

Many cards have 2; as long as you're just running a VR app and OBS, that should be fine. If you're trying to also have ShadowPlay running, or if OBS is trying to stream and record with different settings, that would be 2 sessions.
