Question / Help OBS won't detect my headset Logitech G930

Hey guys,

I just recently had this problem. My headset isn't being detected by OBS. Instead it's detecting my mic as the desktop audio. I've tried multiple things to try to get this to work. (ie reinstalling obs, reinstalling drivers for headset, setting desktop audio to default) I know the headset portion works because I've been chatting on skype with a buddy of mine and skype and the computer detect the headset perfectly fine.

Do you guys have any suggestions because quite frankly I'm out of ideas here. Thanks in advanced guys.

Go to Settings -> Advanced and uncheck the "Use Input device for desktop audio"

How on earth is that checkbox getting checked? Did you check it yourself at some point, or was it always like that? If you by some chance did check it yourself, then why?
