So after a long hassle with hauppauge and not being able to use it with obs I just used x-split, but I made some extra cash and Bought the elgato after hearing and reading good things about it. My problem lies in the fact that When streaming with Obs, only with the elgato mind you, my streams will hardly at all buffer and the same goes for my archived broadcasts. I don't really know what to do anymore, I really don't want to use x-split again but it seems that I may have to.

What does that mean? Could you elaborate on what exactly is happening?
When I go to check my stream to make sure all is all right and the sound is at a nice volume, it takes forever to load the stream video, and when if it does depending on my buffer rate it will start buffering again in no time at all. I've tried buffer rates from 3500 (Normally what I use) to 2000, I don't really want to go any lower than that, I did notice a difference the lower I went but to my knowledge the video quality would just suffer at any lower than that.
