Question / Help OBS With Diamond Multimedia

This is my first time trying to record anything. I got a Diamond Multimedia VC500 One-Touch Video Capture device ad I cant get OBS to even preview the stream. At first I kept getting an error about my mic but those have stopped.
I'm not getting any video or audio feeds and I have no idea where to even begin to try solving this issue myself.

1. Use OBS Studio, not OBS.
2. If it doesn't work in OBS Studio you might be able to run their software, and have OBS Studio Window Capture their software.

Studio is still very lacking in many feature-parity and workflow aspects, and is not ready for mainline use. Try both, use Studio if it works with your capture device or if you have a technical need for something it provides.

We would need to see a logfile. As noted, if it does not show up in the Video Capture Device list, it may be a non-standards-compliant device, and need to run through its own software, with OBS window capturing that.
