Is this NOT compatible with my Pioneer S9 Mixer??
Any Help or advice would be much appreciated
Many Thanks
Hey, I'm a DJ too, getting to grips with all of this in recent months.
I did fix this eventually. I will list what I think you need to consider:
- Install the newest firmware onto the S9. There will be instructions on youtube just type "how to upgrade Pioneer S99 firmware" into youtube.
- Install the latest Windows Drivers for the S9 to talk to Windows (it might enable the OBS audio source to become visible after a restart)
- Test this out.
The link for the drivers AND firmware are here.

DO A TEST FIRST BEFOR DOING WHAT IS BELOW.
If that doesn't work, look at your Windows Output settings (press start, type the word SOUND and click SOUND MIXER SETTINGS)
Play around with the SOUND INPUT / OUTPUT settings with a piece of music playing on loop until you see a signal / sound meters bouncing. Whatever is working in INPUT should then be searched for in the OBS > Audio Input Capture > Properties settings by selecting that "device" (it might just say Pioneer S9).
You mentioned you had a Virtual Audio cable so make sure the Output on the Software you are playing from has some Audio Settings to set that output to Virtual Audio Cable. However with the above drivers, you might find you no longer need Virtual cable.
For what it's worth, on one Windows version I had a strange situation where changing the audio to Default seemed to make it work and Pioneer seemed to not make it work. So if nothing is working, don't be afraid to try things backwards to how they should appear to work!
I'm sure this will do it.
