Question / Help OBS window capture elgato black screen

when using window capture on elgato, it displays a black screen on the elgato video preview in obs, how do i fix this? yes i want to use a window capture to do this, yes window capture does work, ive done it before on my last computer, please help
my nvidia drivers all up to date as well.
