obs-websocket connection issues OBS v28.0.1[64bit] and Companion v2.3.0

I tried other plugins outside of that which came with OBS but they failed to load at all. The one with OBS generating this error:

19:47:51.152: [obs-websocket] [WebSocketServer::onClose] WebSocket client `[::ffff:192.168.xx.xx]:56409` has disconnected with code `4010` and reason: You appear to be attempting to connect with the pre-5.0.0 plugin protocol. Check to make sure your client is updated.

Running into the same issue. It connects to OBS 28 for a split second and drops. Does this several times a second. Companion logs it as a dropped connection to OBS.

Having the same issue trying to use Lioran Board. It keeps connecting and disconnecting. I've tried switching servers, passwords and any other setting that I could think of. Connects for about 5 seconds and then disconnects again :c

Been having the same issues since v28 came out. It appears that OBS Websockets is now part of OBS, but it is not working

Thanks for this... Companion was driving me crazy! I thought adding OBS would be a snap. Down-leveling to the 4.9 compat as suggested by @huitousha did the trick!
