OBS virtual camera ARM processor

I'm unable to get OBS to function as a virtual camera for my online teaching platform. I've tried several other platforms including Zoom, but keep running into the same problems. OBS seems to be working correctly, Start virtual Camera button is where it should be. I start the virtual camera, and Zoom allows me to choose OBS as the video source. Except the screen is black in Zoom. The content from OBS isn't actually showing up in the zoom window.

I've been working on this for a couple months, and for reference I'm using a Surface Pro 11, running windows 11, OBS version 31.0.3, latest version of zoom, everything updated, etc.
I have tried the following:
1. THE right permissions have been granted. And it doesn't behave like a permissions issue, which I am familiar with.
2. I finally tried downloading the OBS virtualCam plugin. Then when I started OBS I got an error message saying that the virtualCam failed to start, but sorry I can't remember the exact wording.
3. Tried multiple online teaching platforms
4. rebooted computer, uninstalled and re-installed OBS, Zoom, and the VirtualCam Plugin multiple times.

I have successfully been using Manycam on a surface pro 7 for several years in this same way. Would rather use OBS, and Manycam has a similar problem on my pro 11.

I've posted on multiple OBS, Zoom and other tech forums, and can't seem to find an answer. All the articles that say they will tell you how to use OBS as a virtual camera in Zoom say that if you follow the basic, intuitive steps it will magically work. but it just....doesn't.

Willing to just buy a different computer for teaching if that's what I need to do, but would rather not. Also if that is what I have to do, what specifically do I need to get?

Thank you!
