Bug Report OBS videos no longer working with most media players

I've been trying to work with window-captured videos gathered through OBS. Starting only today, I have been unable to use the videos at all with Windows Media Player or HP MediaSmart player on my laptop, or iMovie on my Mac desktop. The videos have played using Quicktime Player on my desktop but I really need them to be able to work with iMovie so that I can do the video editing I want to do, and it won't export them to iMovie from Quicktime, saying the files might be damaged.

These videos played and loaded just fine until today. As a matter of fact I transferred over videos to my desktop on Saturday and they were working fine in iMovie. Notably, videos that I've previously been able to use with iMovie can still be loaded in - it's just the newer ones that can't be. However, with Windows Media Player and HP MediaSmart player, OBS-recorded videos that I have been able to view before can no longer be viewed, while videos recorded using other software can be. It's not due to video length - I'm getting the same problem with videos of over 40 minutes and under 1 minute.

I updated OBS on Saturday when the program I was using to play the games wasn't working properly and I had to restart my computer. It was capturing the correct screen during recording - I was watching it as I was playing it. And I recorded a short test video on Sunday to make sure that there was no video/audio desync and it played just fine on HP MediaSmart! So I have no idea what could be going on here. If anyone can help me, I would be eternally grateful.

Can you try uploading one or two of the vids that aren't working?

Can we also see a log file?

Won't let me upload my sample video - says the entity is too large. What's the maximum attachment size?

I was able to attach a log, but I don't know how helpful it will be - I never had any issues with the recording itself, the window was being captured fine, the audio is working (the videos tend to play the audio, but a black screen with it, unless I open it with QuickTime - and even then, QuickTime can't export the video in any way or even duplicate the video properly), and the program was responsive to my hotkeys and everything.

Well, you'd have to upload the video to a site somewhere. Dropbox, mediafire, something like that.

Hm, there have been a number of video editing related issues lately, probably due to color space changes, though really to be honest the decoders in these applications seem really out of date. Thank you for pointing it out.

Just a note, plays back fine for me in WMP, and I can't see anything wrong with the settings in MediaInfo. Do note that I am using the Shark007 codec pack, it may have more up to date codecs.
