Question / Help OBS Video Very Choppy

I've read a few other threads in regards to the choppy issue when recording a game,but none have worked for me. The game (H1Z1) itself runs fine. But when viewing the recorded video it is very choppy, 10secs between movements.

Any help would be great.

do you have a sample video of one of your recording? because your set fps is pretty low (15-60)

and since this log contains multiple attempts of recording with different settings

and you have
17:12:30: Total frames encoded: 989, total frames duplicated: 935 (94.54%)

17:12:31: Total frames rendered: 98, number of late frames: 43 (43.88%) (it's okay for some frames to be late)

a few duplicated and low is okay (0,xx%) but usually everything above 1-2% is quite bad already it seems like something is doing no good

have you tried simply recording with a x1.5 downscale 30fps and game capture instead of window?


dont forget to disable the preview on obs as a test in some cases the preview can cause choppy fps
