** Here is the Issue **
When I use OBS along with a Canon M50 Mirrorless, the colors when recording video look extremely reddish and not as sharp as when recording straight into the camera's internal SD Card. I've also noticed that the input image via the OBS source of the Canon looks different color wise within the OBS app, yet when I'm done recording the final video looks different, still not as sharp nor accurate with that of the Canon EOS Utility with the final recording having been saved to the internal SD card..
** Here is the setup **
-Canon M50 running EOS utility version 3 for the Mac
-Canon is plug both via USB and Mini HDMI cable (the USB is so the camera does not go into sleep mode after 30 minutes)
-Canon video colors look sharp, and the white balance is perfect when viewing the video via EOS utility app on my laptop, but crappy when recording in OBS.
-M1 Pro Max is what I'm using, running Monterrey 12.2.1 and OBS version 27.1.3
-The HDMI cable goes from the Canon into a cheap $19 Amazon Capture card and then into USB C into a Caldigit HUB which then plugs into the M1 Max
** Here are the OBS Settings NOTE: I don't stream my videos, I only record and then edit them via Final Cut Pro**
UNDER OUTPUT / RECORDING TAB
--Type= Standard
--Recording Format= Mp4
--Audio Track=1,2,3,4,5,6 (I'm using a rodecaster pro just fyi)
--Encoder= x264
--Rescale= 1290x1080
--Rate Control= CBR
--Bitrate=75,000 Kbps
--Keyframe= 2
--CPU Usage= faster
--Profile= High
--Tune= None
** UNDER ADVANCED **
--Color Format= NV12
--Color Space 601 (I've tried 709 and there is no difference)
--Color Range= Partial (I originally had it under Full but I was getting the same issue)
--The following 2 options have checkmarks ON= Disable macOS V-Sync and Reset macOS V-Sync on Exit
** Here are my Canon M50 Settings
--24FPS
--1290x1080
--1/50
--F1.2
--ISO 100
--Style=Faithful
Again the colors coming straight from the internal SD card come out buttery smooth and the white balance on the skin tones are just perfect, It's when I use OBS to record myself that everything false apart. Also, the reason for the HDMI card is to be able to get a clean HDMI feed from the Canon M50.
Anyone please help :)
