Question / Help OBS Video Capture Not Working

I am using an Alienware 15R3, and the integrated camera does not work as a video capture option. The white light comes on as an indication that the camera is on but there is no preview for the camera shown as I previously would have on other systems. I don't know if I've changed any settings but I can't get this working and this doesn't seem to be an issue others have posted about.

Try setting the resolution and FPS to something known that the camera supports. Go to the Video Capture Device properties, change Resolution/FPS Type from Device Default to Custom, and then set the options accordingly.

Well, that was a lot easier than expected. Thanks a lot. Any reason why default wasn't working?

We're not really sure at this point, to be honest. It's suspected to be something to do with all the changes Microsoft has made regarding how it handles webcams.
